Development Manager

This means you'll be fully engaged in all the different delivery streams, acting as a delivery champion, managing expectations, clearing obstacles, negotiating terms and contracts, and essentially being the go-to person for our corporate clients.   • Status tracking of project tasks, milestones, deliverables, or key dates
  • Risk and expectation management – resourcing, deliverables, requirements, and at times budgets
  • Taking high-level responsibility (planning and leading) for software project delivery management
  • These projects are not SAP v4 to v5 upgrades, they are custom builds with a fair bit of tact and problem solving required. They are also not 3 years; typically, projects will be 6-18 months
  • Working closely with 5 or more teams operationally
  • Performing business analysis/problem solving on the fly, and rapidly context switching


  • Forming and norming software delivery teams including taking responsibility for the onboarding, off boarding, and rotation of people on your team
  • Closely coaching our software teams on practice, communication, and culture and identifying opportunities for personal growth for team members
  • Coaching and mentoring staff including one-on-ones, performance reviews, and personal career mapping
  • Team-building, cohesion, and identity management


  • Client account management – building relationships and presenting a professional, engaged front for Entelect, as well as managing commercials, financials, and administration
  • Maintaining a high degree of client communication – you will often be the point contact for a client
  • The composition, delivery, and tracking of client status reports
  • Facilitating client feedback at all touchpoints (demos, meetings, calls, etc), and the management thereof
  • Positioning Entelect as a trusted partner with the intent of helping solve customers’ toughest business problems
  • Seeking opportunities to strengthen our partnership with our customers



  • Minimum 8 years in the IT industry as an Analyst/PM/Software developer with experience in consulting
  • Non-negotiable is a BSc, BIS, BCom, or BEng degree in Computer, Software, Information or electronic related Sciences from a reputable university
  • Minimum 5 years' experience leading and managing teams in all aspects of coaching, performance management and driving team culture
